Speaker BIO

Raul Harnasch leads the Information Dominance and Deterrence portfolio in the AI Technology and Systems Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. His work focuses on applied artificial intelligence for national security and cybersecurity, including machine learning applications in information operations, cyber threat intelligence, network analysis, and decision support. His research has explored the use of AI to maintain situational awareness across complex distributed systems, support strategic deterrence and wargaming activities, and better understand persuasion, foreign information manipulation and interference, as well as counter-narrative effectiveness. Prior to joining Lincoln Laboratory, Harnasch served in military and civilian roles within the U.S. Navy supporting intelligence and cybersecurity missions across the Indo-Pacific region.
