Speaker BIO

Major General Kaspars Pudāns has been serving in the National Armed Forces since 1994, and from February 22, 2023 to January 21 of this year, he served as the Commander of the National Guard.

Major General Kaspars Pudāns has a bachelor's degree in law and a master's degree in Comprehensive Quality Management. He received his military education at the Latvian National Defense Academy, the Baltic Defense College in Estonia, and the Military Academy in France.

Major General Kaspars Pudāns has more than 30 years of service experience in the National Armed Forces, serving in the Land Forces, the National Guard, and the Joint Staff of the National Armed Forces.

He has gained international service experience in the international operation in Afghanistan, as well as while serving as a military representative at the NATO/EU Military Representation in Brussels.
