Jan Jessen is 54 and working since 25 years as a journalist. He was previously a nurse, and has since transitioned to a crisis- and conflict reporter for Funke Mediengruppe (Germany) since nearly 10 years, with missions in Afghanistan, Armenia, Israel, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Ukraine amongst others.
