Speaker BIO

Three time founder and executive across cybersecurity, national security, and defense advisory. Founded Internet 2.0, the first overseas cyber firm to open an office inside Ukraine after the full scale invasion, running under a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ukrainian Ministry of Cyber Security covering training, technology transfer, and operational support for Ukrainian cyber forces. Based in Ukraine since 2022, working directly with Ukrainian government and military counterparts across the duration of the war.

Founded Cyber Activities Group, an international advisory firm working with national governments across Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Previously the youngest Head of Cyber Operations at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, running their teams across APAC. Robert was also built the cyber operations team at the Washington Post.

Retained directly by the Pentagon to conduct field research in Ukraine on the future of warfare. Ribert has worked with the US Department of State and Global Affairs Canada as subject matter expert on information and cyber operations. One of sixteen executives globally selected by President Biden for the Counter Ransomware Initiative, the only Australian. He is also a board member of Ukraine's Cyber Diia capacity building institution. Robert was awarded a knighthood by the Vatican for his work on cyber security capacity building at the Holy See.
