Nicholas Fang is a former journalist with close to 20 years of experience across print, broadcast and digital media. A former Nominated Member of the Singapore Parliament, he is founder and managing director of Black Dot Research, a market and social research consultancy which also operates Singapore’s leading independent third-party fact-checking platform. The company also convenes a regional network of fact-checkers which focuses on developing information literacy and resilience in Asia. Nicholas was previously director for security and global affairs at the Singapore Institute of International Affairs, the country’s oldest independent think tank. He is an experienced commentator on issues involving security, defence, geopolitics, military and information operations.
