Speaker BIO

Natalya Kovaleva is an Academy Fellow at Chatham House, where her research focuses on authoritarian statecraft, coercive diplomacy, and political repression in Russia and Belarus. She is also a doctoral researcher in the Department of War Studies, King’s College London, due to defend her thesis on strategic communications in US-Soviet cultural relations during the Cold War.

Ms Kovaleva's work on Russian information space and strategic communications has been published by peer-reviewed academic journals and policy outlets. She has also been advising private and public sector organisations on strategic and crisis communications, as well as geopolitical, reputational, and financial risk.
