David Cattler is a senior transatlantic security leader and strategic advisor focused on alliance resilience, defense industrial capacity, and the intersection of technology and national security. He is Founder of Ironhelm Works and a Senior Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) and the International Centre for Defence and Security (ICDS). He previously served as NATO's Assistant Secretary General for Intelligence and Security, where he led the Alliance's intelligence enterprise across 32 nations, and as Director of the U.S. Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), responsible for safeguarding the U.S. cleared workforce and defense industrial base.
Mr. Cattler has held senior roles at the White House, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Joint Staff, Defense Intelligence Agency, and the U.S. Navy. He regularly advises governments and industry on alliance strategy, defense innovation, and the evolving character of conflict.
