Ben Heap has nearly three decades of experience in strategic communications, beginning his career in film and television, then gaining substantial operational experience with NATO and the British Army. With his experience of managing projects in demanding settings, since March 2022 Ben has led the centre’s partnership with Ukraine, supporting the work of the Ukraine Communications Group and contributing to the StratCom capability development component of the NATO Ukraine Council. Previous focus areas at the StratCom COE have included nuclear messaging, deterrence communications, hybrid threats, societal resilience, government communication, and information influence operations.
