Senior Lieutenant, 12th Special Forces Brigade Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine
Senior Lieutenant Serhii Rotchuk is an experienced Ukrainian military medic and medical instructor. Serhii joined Azov in 2015. He served as a combat medic in an infantry company and commanded a battalion's medical evacuation platoon. He fought in the battles for Mariinka, Vodiane, Krasnohorivka and the Svitlodarsk Bulge. In 2022, he defended Mariupol and Azovstal, and was in Russian captivity for over a year, from May 20th 2022 until May 6th 2023. Upon his return from captivity, he was reinstated into the ranks. He worked at the brigade's stabilization point and prepared a training program for the unit's personnel. Today, he serves as the commander of the Instructor Squad of the Azov Brigade's Medical Company.
