Rejanne Eimers was born in Soest on 23 June 1972. As the eldest daughter of a Dutch Army officer, she moved several times throughout her youth and as a teenager, she lived in Zeven, Germany, close to Seedorf. In 1991, she enrolled at the Royal Military Academy and after four years, she became the platoon commander of a medical platoon in an infantry battalion in Seedorf. During the next three years, she deployed to Bosnia twice. During the first deployment, she was a medical platoon leader with IFOR-1. The second deployment was with SFOR-4, as the deputy company commander of the staff support company. After educating new recruits in Assen from 1999 until 2000, she was promoted to captain and posted to 400 medical battalion. In 2000, she took the opportunity to study sociology at the University of Groningen for 3 years while remaining in the employ of the Ministry of Defence. After graduating, she became a military researcher and took part in several Defence research projects. In 2007, she became a staff officer within the Dutch Army Education and Training Command and was involved in projects relating to diversity, recruitment, development and training innovation. In 2009, Rejanne moved to Muenster for the first time, to work as DACOS G1 within 1GNC. Over the next 3.5 years, she was part of the Tiger Team established to transform the HQ and she became the project leader of the reorganisation of the Dutch contingent. In May 2013, Rejanne returned to the Education and Training Command in Amersfoort, this time as its Chief of Staff. Two years later, she took over command of 43 Medical Company, a medical unit belonging to 43 Mechanised Brigade. During this period, she invested in the quality of her personnel and created a fresh focus on the tasks for the medical unit to accomplish. In December 2017, she deployed to Kabul as the military advisor to the senior civilian representative of Operation Resolute Support. On returning to the Netherlands, she became a member of the liaison team between the Dutch Personnel department in The Hague and the Human Resources execution unit (DPOD) in Utrecht. In June 2019, she was promoted to colonel and became the chief of the army personnel unit, which is responsible for all HR execution matters within the Royal Netherlands Army. In the summer of 2022, Rejanne was offered the opportunity to follow the one-year global strategy programme at the Royal College of Defence studies in London. After graduating, she was posted to 1GNC as DCOS C&E in August 2023 and promoted to brigadier general. Rejanne is married to Ronald, a former Dutch infantry officer. Ronald is the father of three adult daughters and is a grandfather. Since 1999, his daughters have been a solid part of Rejanne’s family life too. Ronald and Rejanne also have one teenage daughter. Before moving to Muenster, she lived in Assen and shared a home with her parents. Rejanne enjoys sports, travel and has a penchant for visiting music festivals and watching professional football matches. She recently rekindled her old love of golf and can often be found on the golf course once again.
