Rachel Chernaskey is a Director at Microsoft’s Digital Threat Analysis Center (DTAC), leading the team’s research on Russian influence operations around the globe. Prior to joining Microsoft, Rachel served as Director at Miburo, a digital consulting and analysis company acquired by Microsoft in 2022, where she led the company’s reporting on Russian influence operations during the 2020 US presidential election and the lead-up to the 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine, among other major events.
Rachel has regularly presented to government officials, leaders at major technology and social media companies, and at several universities on influence operations and campaigns. Previously, she worked as an editor and journalist.
