Ambassador Mark Regev is a senior visiting fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) at Tel Aviv University. He is a public information and international media expert, with experience in the highest professional echelons.
Most recently, Ambassador Regev served as senior advisor for foreign relations and international media to Israel’s prime minister. From 2016-2020 he was Israel's ambassador to Britain. Before departing for London, he served as the prime ministerial adviser and spokesman to international media (2007-2016), becoming one of Israel's most prominent voices in the English-speaking world. Over the years, he has served in a range of diplomatic roles in the Foreign Ministry, including Ministry spokesman in Jerusalem (2004-2007), councilor in Washington (1999-2004), first secretary in Beijing (1993-1996), and deputy consul in Hong Kong (1991-1993).
Ambassador Regev holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the University of Melbourne, a master’s degree in political science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a master of science in business
