Speaker BIO

Marie-Doha Besancenot recently served as NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy (from 2023 to 2025), leading the Public Diplomacy Division responsible for enhancing NATO’s global visibility and fostering public support for its missions. In this role she developed data-driven communications to make an impact in a world of disinformation. Since April 2025, she has been working as the Strategic Advisor to the French Foreign Minister, developing a cross-government approach to countering information threats. In addition to her career in public service, as speechwriter to the French Prime Minister and as culturel attaché at the French Embassy in the United Kingdom, she spent 10 years in corporate roles. In 2014, she joined Allianz France as Head of the CEO’s office and later became Director of Public Affairs and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and headed the Communications, Brand, and CSR department, enhancing brand awareness and forging key partnerships. Her commitment to strategic leadership and defense led to her participation as an auditor in the 29th promotion of the French War College (2021–2022) and her selection as a Young Leader by the Institut Aspen France in 2021.
