Janis Butkevics is a data science and communications leader currently serving as Director of Data Science at M&C Saatchi World Services. Janis has over 15 years of experience in applying data-based solutions for government and public sector problems. At Saatchi, Janis works on developing data and AI based capabilities to build, run, and assess communication and information campaigns. His current focus is researching and implementing AI-assisted content development and optimization techniques. Janis recent work builds on a strong foundation established at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, where he led the Information Operations and Information Warfare research area, managing significant IRAD efforts focused on influence operations and supporting organizations including the Joint Artificial Intelligence Center, Department of State, and USSOCOM.
