Ai-Men Lau is the social engagement team lead at Doublethink Lab and former advisor to Alliance Canada Hong Kong. She has appeared in Canadian media discussing Hong Kong and Canada-China relations and her articles have appeared in major Canadian newspapers. She has also testified before Canadian and European Parliaments on the political crackdown in Hong Kong and foreign interference. In her role at Doublethink Lab as the Social Engagement team lead, she has conducted research on foreign transnational repression and the Chinese diaspora. She holds a Masters of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Social Work (with Distinction) from the University Calgary. She is currently based in Taipei, Taiwan.
