Kelly Mudford currently leads the Content and Platforms Project Section at the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). Over the last 12 months, Kelly has led the ACMA’s work in overseeing the development of Australia’s voluntary code of practice on misinformation and disinformation. She also led the ACMA’s contribution to the development of the Digital Platforms and News Media Bargaining Code.
For the last 15 years, Kelly has held communications policy and regulatory roles across the Australian government. This included as the Chief Executive Officer of the Telecommunications Universal Service Management Agency.
The determination and level of ambition among EU member countries on the need to regulate the on-line information environment are getting a clearer shape.
